Marmo Meccanica Edge Profile Machine
Because we are aware that our customers deserve only the best, we refuse to settle for less than the best ourselves. We invite you to visit not only our showroom, but also our 10,000 square foot warehouse and corporate office. Here is where large slabs of stone from all over the world are transformed into the beautiful, elegant countertops we install in your home. All of our machinery is provided by Marmo Meccanica in Italy, which in this industry is considered to be the ultimate fabrication equipment. We directly import many exotic variations of stone colors from Brazil and Italy, including many other countries around the globe, and stock them here at our local warehouse so that you can enjoy the luxury of one stop shopping. In addition, we have access to over 300 other stones, in the event that the varieties in stock do not meet your specifications.
How is PMG different from other fabricators?

The Polishing Process
Because the entire process from start to finish is done in-house with PMG, our customers can rest assured that they will get the information they need from one place, without having to chase down multiple contractors. With the popularity of granite countertops increasing over the past few years, many inexperienced and unqualified contractors have tried to come into the business in order to “make a quick buck”. These are the companies you find offering unrealistic prices, which is basically just a ploy to get customers in the door, provided they even have an actual shop location (some fabricators actually work out of their garages with hand saws!). We are so confident in our workmanship that we offer a lifetime warranty on installation. In addition, every slab of granite is sealed with our exclusive IntenSeal sealing system and each project we complete is protected by our Stain Protection Guarantee.

Marmo Meccanica Fabrication Machine
At PMG, we import our beautiful granite slabs directly
from Italy and Brazil and we use only first quality stone.
What this means is that we would never compromise on quality because
of price. Because of fluctuations in foreign exchange rates, the price
of stone is gradually increasing. Most companies, including some of
the big name granite fabricators, are now importing and using the substandard
quarry leftovers which cost the fabricator about half of what Italian
and Brazilian stones cost. These substandard stones, which typically
come marred and damaged with small cracks and fissures are polished
and waxed to disguise the imperfections, making it near impossible for
regular consumers to know the difference. Every slab that arrives at
PMG is personally inspected from top to bottom, and any stone not meeting
our requirements is deemed unacceptable and sold off to other fabricators.
Everything we do at Potomac Marble & Granite
is designed to provide the best quality and service in
the industry for a very competitive price.
How do I get started with my project?
The best way to begin your project is by contacting
us for a complimentary consultation so that we can take precise
measurements and determine the amount of your square footage.
Once the measurement is completed, we invite you to visit our corporate
office warehouse so that you may view and select the granite slab you
want for your countertops. You may also view optional sinks and faucets
which are available for purchase as well. We can then finalize the details
of your project and payment options (whether cash, check, credit card
or our 12 month no payments, no interest financing plan). Once everything
is set, your beautiful new countertops will be installed within a week
or less!
